Trust Wallet Crypto

Trust Wallet was founded in 2017 by Ukrainian entrepreneur Viktor Radchenko whose aim was to create a user-friendly mobile wallet to store Ethereum (ERC-20) tokens like ETH. It did not take long for Trust Wallet to capture the attention of Binance who acquired the company behind the wallet in 2018.

Trust Wallet is an open-source non-custodial wallet which means that users maintain full control of their private keys (funds). The wallet is anonymous and private meaning that there is no linked identity when creating an account. With Trust Wallet, users can store, send and receive digital assets, buy and sell cryptocurrencies and access decentralized applications (DApps).

Trust Wallet Supported Platforms

Trust wallet is a secure and user-friendly mobile wallet app for storing cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and many others. Trust wallet is available on iOS and Android devices where users can store and manage their cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Combined the Trust wallet apps have over 10 million downloads with an excellent 4.7 rating based on 1.3 million reviews.

On mobile, Trust wallet offers users the ability to swap between their assets or buy cryptocurrencies with fiat currencies like USD and EUR. The mobile apps also offer integrations to DEXes like Uniswap and Pancakeswap directly in the wallet.

Trust also provides support for ERC 721 and ERC 1155 NFTs which are based on the Ethereum blockchain and Binance Smart Chain.

Trust wallet also recently came out with their browser extension available for Chrome, Brave, Edge and Opera. The browser wallet is currently used by over 100,000 people and is at the time of writing missing most of the features offered in the mobile app. It does however provide access to a large selection of blockchains and tokens so that users can easily connect to their favourite dApps online.

Trust Wallet Features

Trust Wallet also features a built-in web3 browser, allowing users to access decentralized applications (DApps) directly from the mobile app. It also supports integration with decentralized exchanges (DEXs) such as Uniswap and Pancakeswap, allowing users to trade tokens directly from their wallet.

Trust wallet recently also introduced its cross-chain swap integration with Thorchain. This will allow users to easily swap pairs across BTC, ETH, BNB and BUSD via the app. With this integration, users no longer need to use fiat onramps and Trust Wallet doesn't charge any service fee for executing the cross-chain swaps.

Trust Wallet Supported Coins

Trust wallet claims to support 4.5 million assets across 65 blockchains such as Bitcoin, Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana and others. Trust wallet also supports a variety of stablecoins including BUSD, DAI, USDC, USDT, GUSD, USDS, PAX, TUSD, BGBP and EURS.

With Trust wallet users can stake their assets to earn staking rewards on their otherwise idle assets. At the time of writing, Trust Wallet provides staking rewards for the following 14 cryptocurrencies, BNB, ATOM, CLO, TOMO, TRX, LUNA, OSMO, IOTX, XTZ, VET, KAVA and ALGO.

Trust Wallet Customer Support

Trust Wallet customer support is dedicated to helping users with any issues they may have with the wallet. Customer support is available through a variety of channels, including a community support help centre, by email or by submitting a ticket request.

Trust Wallet customer support offers a comprehensive FAQ page with answers to common questions about the wallet. Answers to common questions can also be found via social media channels like twitter, reddit and Telegram.

Is Trust Wallet Safe?

The main benefit of Trust Wallet as a non-custodial wallet is that all private keys are stored in a decentralized way across millions of devices. Users have to protect their assets by creating a strong password and by storing the 12 or 24-word seed phrase that they are given somewhere safe.

The biggest threat to users who hold custody of their own assets is the mismanagement of passwords or bad practices online that gives hackers an opportunity to access your device or passwords.

For those that are interested in using Trust Wallet on a mobile device, there are added security features available such as Face or Touch ID. This obviously means that your assets are no longer anonymous buy instead directly connect to your person.
